"Niñoda", 2022 is based on the Niñopa, an image of Baby Jesus that was venerated in Xochimilco, Mexico during the 16th century and was the center of religious life in the neighborhoods of the area. With his piece, the artist reflects on how today there is a great devotion to brands and products. If the Catholic God existed and was going to send a messiah to Earth at this time, he would not send a person, but a product.
