Viaje Fantastico

Based on the Mexican saying "se los comió vivos" meaning "he ate them alive" which means "he criticized them without mercy", the exhibition Viaje Fantástico presented at Ladrón Galería, takes the gallerists - Marek, Wendy and Marco - on a journey through my spastic colon.
The show begins with Precious and I jamming on junk food (Problemas de Blancas, 2019). I tell her my first world problems about the books and dvds that were reference for this exhibition, the very eclectic diet of references give rise to impending indigestion.
On this inter-intestinal journey Marek, Wendy and Marco are greeted at my gastric sphincter by Divine (Sigan el camino de mecos, 2019), who tells them how to get out of there: just follow the cum path until you get to Shawn Mendes' anus (El ano de Shawn Mendes, 2019).
Taking inspiration from LADRON galeria's slogan "your body is your gallery" this bile, semen and condom-filled adventure explores the artist's impossibility of being able to put aside their ego and personal interests in order to truly collaborate with their exhibitors and fellow artists.
